Your Privacy is Very Important to us here at SportJobs
1. GENERAL
This Privacy Policy describes how we manage and handle the personal information that you provide to us in order to become a member of this site. By accepting the Privacy Policy and User Agreement when you register as a member with Sportjobs, you expressly consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is effective upon acceptance by new members and is otherwise effective from 13 March 2008.
2. COLLECTION
2.1 When is personal information collected?
If you elect to subscribe to Sportjobs or upload your CV to Sportjobs, you consent to the transfer and storage of your personal information on our servers in Australia. Your personal information may be collected in the following ways:
(a) when you subscribe to Sportjobs by submitting your email address;
(b) when you upload your CV to Sportjobs (see clause 4);
(c) when you interact with our site, including statistics on page hits; and
(d) when you send us correspondence we may also retain this and store it.
3. PURPOSE
3.1 Your information is collected so that we may notify you regarding sports related employment positions that may be of interest to you. You agree that we may use your personal information to:
(a) provide the services as stipulated in the User Agreement;
(b) prevent or investigate potentially prohibited or illegal activities; and
(c) enforce this agreement.
4. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
4.1 When you upload your CV to Sportjobs, prospective employers will be able to view the information contained in your CV (but excluding your name). Employers that have registered and paid with Sportjobs will be able to view your name and contact details.
4.2 If you have uploaded your CV to Sportjobs, you consent to prospective employers contacting you directly regarding employment positions that may be of interest to you.
4.3 We will otherwise only disclose your personal information in order to respond to legal or legislative requirements, to assist with the investigation of fraud or other criminal activity (where a verified request has been made by a law enforcement agency) and to enforce our policies or User Agreement.
5. PROTECTION OF INFORMATION
All information stored by Sportjobs is encrypted on our website server to ensure that the information remains as secure as possible.
6. ENDING YOUR USE
6.1 We will take reasonable steps to delete or destroy your personal information, including any CV that you have uploaded, if you request us to do so.
6.2 We will take reasonable steps to end your subscription to Sportjobs and remove you from the mailing list if you request us to do so.
7. COOKIES
7.1 Sportjobs uses cookies to analyse and customise our services and to monitor the hits on the site. Such cookies are placed in your browser file on your hard drive. You may decline our cookies if you browser permits, however this may impact upon your efficient use of some of our pages.
7.2 Independent companies advertise on our site from time to time. Such ads may contain cookies. Again, you may decline such cookies if you browser permits, however this may impact upon your efficient use of some of our pages.
8. SPAM
You are not permitted to use our communication tools to send spam or junk mail. You are not permitted to add other Sportjobs users or members to your mailing list (electronic or otherwise) without their consent. We endeavour to provide a system that is free of spam or junk mail. We reserve the right to cancel or suspend your membership if you breach this provision.
9. ACCOUNT INFORMATION
Once you have uploaded your CV, you may access and modify the personal information that you have provided us by visiting [insert link]. It is most important that your contact details and the information contained in your CV remains up to date.
10. PRIVACY STATEMENT UPDATES
Sportjobs will at all times endeavour to abide with the Information Privacy Principles as contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy in order to comply with legislative updates or in order to reflect any changes that we make in the way that we collect or store your personal information. A notice will be posted on our home page whenever an amendment is made to this Privacy Policy. Such amendments will take effect from the date that they are posted.
